AI fantasy hockey manager

The AI Fantasy Hockey Manager

An AI fantasy hockey manager for daily lineups, goalie starts, and IR slots on Yahoo, ESPN, Fantrax, and CBS.

Knute is an autonomous AI hockey manager for the 82-game NHL season. The AI fantasy hockey agent handles daily lineup locks, morning-skate goalie confirmations, IR churn, and weekly waivers, keeping you compliant with games-played caps while maximizing every start.

What it does

How the Knute AI manages your fantasy hockey team on Yahoo Fantasy Hockey, ESPN Fantasy Hockey, Fantrax

Knute is an autonomous AI fantasy hockey manager built to handle the decisions a fantasy manager makes across a full season: lineups, waivers, and in-season pivots. The AI hockey agent makes one pass a day, ahead of the slate, and takes the action at the autonomy level you set. Trades are refused by design.

The three jobs: set the optimal lineup before the lock, place waiver claims and FAAB bids, and swap out a starter who is not playing. Planned for the Fall 2026 launch; ESPN fantasy football and baseball are what execute today.

Hardest parts, solved

The hardest parts of fantasy hockey: solved by the AI

  • 01

    Goalie starter uncertainty kills weeks

Goalie starts are announced in morning skate, often just hours before game time. Starting a backup costs you a win category and a shutout chance. Knute reads morning-skate reports, coach availability press conferences, and back-to-back rotation patterns, then confirms every goalie start before the lineup locks.

  • 02

Daily roster moves wear you down

With a roster cap of 50 games at most positions in weekly leagues, every bench-to-active swap counts. Knute manages daily roster moves across your entire roster, rotating skaters in and out to maximize game-night coverage without blowing past category or games-played caps.

  • 03

IR-eligibility and LTIR quirks are hockey-specific

Hockey leagues treat IR, LTIR, and day-to-day injuries differently than football or baseball. Some platforms allow IR+ slots for week-to-week injuries; others don't. Knute knows your platform's specific IR rules, moves players to IR the moment they are placed on NHL IR, and pulls them back the second they are activated.

Control

Choose how autonomous the AI is

Three modes, per league. Switch any time. Same AI agent, different authority.

Level 01

Advisor

The AI reads your roster, the injuries and the matchups, then proposes the move. Nothing happens until you approve.

Authority
Level 02

Co-pilot

Routine lineups, waivers, and injury pivots fire automatically. The bigger calls get flagged for your approval.

Authority
Level 03

Full Autopilot

The AI runs your team within limits you set. A protected player cannot be dropped, and every move it makes is logged for you to read.

Weekly cadence

Your fantasy hockey week with the Knute AI agent

Daily lineups lock at each puck drop. Goalie starters are announced in morning skate, hours before game time. Weekly games-played caps punish lazy lineups. The NHL plays seven days a week from October through April, so a hockey agent has to make a pass every single day. Fantasy hockey is planned for the Fall 2026 launch.

Fantasy Hockey FAQ

Is there an AI agent for fantasy hockey?
Yes. Knute is an AI agent for fantasy hockey that sets daily lineups, predicts goalie starts, handles waivers, and manages IR slots across Yahoo, ESPN, Fantrax, and CBS. Launching Fall 2026.
Does Knute predict goalie starts?
Goalie-start prediction is a core feature. Your AI hockey manager reads morning-skate reports, rotation patterns, and back-to-back history, setting the correct starter in your lineup hours before puck drop.
How does the AI handle IR and LTIR slots?
Knute applies your platform's exact IR rules. Players moved to IR by the NHL are shifted to your IR slot automatically, freeing up a roster spot. When they come off IR, they're restored before the next game.
Which fantasy hockey platforms does Knute support?
Yahoo, ESPN, Fantrax, and CBS. Categories, points, roto, and head-to-head formats.
Can the AI handle games-played caps?
Yes. Knute tracks your games-played pace at every position all season long and stops activating players once you approach the cap: redirecting those games to higher-upside skaters.
Will Knute make waiver claims for me?
Every week. The AI fantasy hockey assistant claims breakout skaters, swaps in hot goalies, and drops cold or injured players, using FAAB bidding or waiver priority depending on your league.
Does the AI rotate skaters into the active lineup daily?
Daily rotations are automatic. Knute maximizes games played across your roster, swapping active and bench players to capture every possible game-night stat.
